The Crew Behind the Flag

This isn't a corporate charter outfit. This is a crew that loves fishing, loves Bocas, and treats every trip like their own.

Our Story

Pirates of Solarte was born from a simple idea — the best fishing in the Caribbean shouldn't come with cruise ship crowds, tourist trap pricing, or a boat packed with strangers. Bocas del Toro is one of the last unspoiled fishing grounds in the Caribbean, and we wanted to build a charter operation that lets you experience it the right way — private, personal, and unforgettable.

We're based at Carenero Marina on Isla Carenero, a small island in the Bocas del Toro archipelago on Panama's Caribbean coast. No high-rises. No resorts. Just open water, incredible marine life, and a crew that treats every trip like it's their own.

Why Bocas del Toro

Most people have never heard of Bocas del Toro — and that's exactly the point. While the charter boats in Costa Rica and Cancún fight for the same overfished water, we're running expeditions through some of the most productive and untouched Caribbean waters you can reach. Mahi-mahi, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna — they're all here, and they're not pressured the way they are in the tourist-heavy fisheries.

What Makes Us Different

Every charter is private. Period. No strangers on your boat.
Our captain and crew are bilingual — fluent in English and Spanish.
We provide everything. Rods, tackle, bait, ice, coolers, refreshments. You just show up.
When the fishing's done, we clean and filet your catch dockside. Take it home or walk it to a local restaurant for a cook-up.

Life on the Water

"
We've done charters in Costa Rica and Cancún — this blew them all away. No crowds, incredible water, and a crew that made my kids feel like real pirates. This is the real Caribbean.
